TCA Social Inclusion & Diversity
The National Agency Erasmus+ in the Netherlands is very pleased to welcome you to the TCA Social Inclusion & Diversity, from Sunday, 23 June until Tuesday, 25 June, 2019 at the Wageningen International Congress Centre (WICC) in Wageningen.
On this website you will find information on the goals, themes and results of this international seminar. Furthermore, you will find the programme, the content of the sessions and practical information. This website will be regularly updated with new information before and during the TCA.
Every child, student and learner has the right to be supported by their parents and community to grow, learn and develop and be welcomed and included by teachers and peers alike. When all children, students and learners - regardless of their differences or disabilities - are educated together, everyone benefits. This is the cornerstone of inclusive education.
What a beautiful dream!
In order to contribute to the realisation of this dream, we have chosen as overall theme for this TCA: the Inclusive Educator. We will focus on diversity issues in the classroom, and on working with vulnerable groups. What are the conditions, the needs? Good practices? The obstacles? These are some of the questions which will be addressed during the seminar.
The goal of the seminar is to provide participants with tools and examples of projects to address diversity issues in the classroom, or in any other learning environment. The National Agency Erasmus+ aims to share good practices from all sectors of the Erasmus+ programme.
The seminar is cross-sectorial. We do hope to stimulate cross-sectorial discussions, to share ideas in order to learn from each other and to foster cooperation between the sectors. Therefore, the TCA will be very interactive with enough space for discussion and networking.
The National Agency Erasmus+ also aims to inform participants who are not too familiar with the Erasmus+ programme about the technicalities of the programme in relation to an Erasmus+ KA2 application on Social Inclusion & Diversity. Furthermore, the NA aims to facilitate new contacts and potential partnerships.
The participants will leave the seminar with sufficient ideas, tools and good practices to adapt and use in one's own learning environment. These outcomes will help them to support students and trainees even better in their development, and will also help to enrich their competences. New contacts will be realised and new projects might be initiated.
